Dads Take Daughters to Alpharetta Valentine's Dance

The Alpharetta Community Center was the scene for the annual Father-Daughter Valentine's Dance.

Alpharetta dads and their daughters filled the gym at the Friday night for the annual Father-Daughter Valentine's Dance.

The daughters outnumbered the fathers, because what dad could take just one of his daughters to the dance?

Free photos of the dads and their daughters were taken, plus cake and chocolate made the night complete.

Daughters were dressed in their finest outfits and dads stepped up their attire as well. Plenty of corsages could be seen on the girls' wrists as well.

None of the girls were embarassed by their dads this night, whether they were just a few years old or in their teens.

Among the many dads present with their daughters were Mayor David Belle Isle and City Councilman Michael Cross.

Another dad present was Jamie Bendall, who is an Alpharetta resident and father of three girls, and also is a board member of the Alpharetta Youth Softball Association. His girls are involved in many of the recreational sports offered by the Alpharetta Parks and Recreation Department, which sponsored the dance.

Hear what Bendall and his daughters have to say about the dance and spending time together in the video accompanying this article.
