Alpharetta Offers Free Santa Photos, Holiday Decorating Tips

Residents will soon be able to learn holiday decorating tips and take photos with Santa in Alpharetta.

The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau will soon host two events designed to get residents into the Christmas spirit.

Residents on Thursday, Nov. 7 are invited to come out and pick up some tips and tricks to holiday decorating. The event will be held between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Alpharetta Welcome Center, located at 178 S. Main Street Suite 200.

The free Alpharetta Table's event will feature eight decorators who will set up Table-scapes "depicting holiday themes and providing fabulous decorating options that can be used when entertaining friends and family this holiday season," the Alpharetta CVB said in a news release.

Along with refreshments, residents will have a chance to win a $250 gift card to use with either of the eight decorators.

"We can’t wait to host this new event in our Welcome Center," said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. "It will be a great way for residents to prepare for out of town guests as well as an awesome opportunity for the community to learn more about our complimentary services."

On Saturday Nov. 16, families will have a chance to have their photo taken with Santa Claus. Residents can have their photos taken for free with Santa and Mrs. Claus between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Alpharetta Welcome Center.

No reservations are required and refreshments will be served.

Rodgers added this will be the second year in which Santa will return to Alpharetta.

"With such a great turnout last year, we are hoping to continue the success of the event as it is a great opportunity to remind everyone of the free services offered by the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau," she added.

For more information about both events, call the welcome center at (678) 297-2811.
