Too Much Halloween Candy? Your Dentist May 'Buy' It From You

The candy will be used in care packages sent to military support groups for distribution to military personnel.

Several area dentists’ offices are accepting Halloween candy in exchange for other goodies. The candy will be sent to American military support groups.

Do your kids have too much candy from their Halloween festivities, or do you have some that was not taken by trick-or-treaters who came to your door? Your dentist just may want to take those sweets off your hands.

The Halloween Candy Buyback campaign is partnering with dental practices to “buy back” candy, which will then be used to fill care packages that will be sent through Operation Gratitude or other military support groups. Kids and parents who bring candy in to a participating dental office may receive cash, coupons, toothbrushes, gift certificates or other items in return for their donation.
