It comes with a whipped topping mouth, a glazed strawberry nose and a set of delicious decorations: two mini-Oreo cookies to create eyes and eight pieces of candy corn to add teeth or fangs.

As Halloween approaches, be very afraid—and also a little hungry.

Participating IHOP restaurants across the country have brought back one of their most beloved traditions for kids: the “Scary Face” pancake. As a special Halloween treat, on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., participating IHOP restaurants will offer kids 12 and younger a “Scary Face” pancake free—and that’s no trick!

Alpharetta's IHOP is located at 870 North Main St. and several others are nearby. Participation may vary, but Alpharetta's restaurant promises Scary Pancakes will be served on Halloween.
