Golf Tournament Raises Money For Fulton Schools

The 19th annual Fulton Education Foundation's Fore Kids Golf Classic will be held on Monday in Alpharetta.

Golfers are practicing their swings for the 19th Annual Fulton Education Foundation Fore Kids Golf Classic, which will be held on Monday, May 5 at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. 

The tournament, which is a fundraiser for programs benefiting students and staff in the Fulton County School System, includes a caddy for each foursome.

The tournament begins with check-in at 9:30 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will spend the day with Fulton County school leaders, school board members and those from prominent businesses and the community. A silent auction and awards reception concludes the event at 4 p.m.

There is still time to register. Individual slots are available for $400 and foursomes are $1,750. In addition, sponsors are being sought with sponsorships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. In-kind sponsorships also are being accepted.

The tournament raises money to support vision testing and eyeglass acquisition for less fortunate children as well as math and science programs, teacher/staff recognition and programs that support innovative technology teaching methods.
