Care-A-Thon raises over $1 million each year for vital research for the Aflac Cancer Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, which is where Hudson is receiving his treatment.

Hudson, 4, has always been a laid back and independent little girl with bright blue eyes that match her beautiful smile.

She loves to ride her bike, swim, play soccer and draw. She has a huge affection for superheroes, especially Iron Man and Superman.

In October 2013, Hudson was not feeling very well and was given antibiotics for strep throat. Her appetite continued to diminish and she was not her normal, spunky self.

She was taken to the doctor again after noticing bruising on her forearms and knees. Hudson’s blood work had come back abnormal and there was a hematologist on standby at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta waiting for her arrival.

Hudson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Nov. 7, 2013. She is currently in treatment and should everything go well, her last treatment will be January 13, 2016.

Hudson has taken leukemia in stride never allowing cancer to get the best of her. She confidently announces that she is HudsonStrong.

Money raised from the event will help fund family support services, research and the fellowship program at the Aflac Cancer Center. To donate, visit the Aflac Cancer Center's giving page for the event.
