Sequoia Golf will host 65 active and retired military men and women today, Nov. 10, for the annual Birdies for the Brave golf weekend and tournament at its recently acquired White Columns Country Club at 300 Clubhouse Drive, Milton.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with opening ceremonies coming just before the 11 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament’s opening ceremony will include a three-member jump team delivering an American flag to the course that will be presented by a local color guard.

Closing ceremonies will include a special keynote speaker, Staff Sgt. Jason Morgan with his service dog, Nepaul. Sgt. Morgan is a former member of the Air Force’s Special Force team, who was paralyzed while on duty during a drug operation in South America.
