Alpharetta-Based Foundation Receives $6B in Donations

The National Christian Foundation distributes the donations through grants to charities specified by the donors.

An Alpharetta-based foundation reached a milestone when it reached $6 billion in contributions made since 1982.

The National Christian Foundation took 14 months to go from $5 billion to $6 billion in contributions. And of the $6 billion received, NCF has already granted $4.3 billion back out – which foundation officials say illustrates their commitment to rapidly mobilizing resources for charity. The growing number of contributions and grants indicates significant momentum for the busy season ahead, as givers complete their gifts before the December 31 tax deadline.

NCF National President David Wills said, "To have reached this milestone with the heart of the year-end giving season still ahead of us is truly exciting, and we thank the thousands of generous givers who are expressing their generosity through NCF. They understand that giving is much more than a transaction – it’s a transformational experience. Together, we're mobilizing an unprecedented amount of money for charities doing great, great work."
