Wellstar stepUP: The 5K Race to Embrace Tolerance

Join us for the inaugural WellStar STEP UP 5K RACE TO EMBRACE TOLERANCE! The course will be run on paved streets with 1 lane dedicated to the runners. Packet Pickup and race day registration will begin at 7:00AM in front of the New Balance Store.

Proceeds from this race will provide support for Embracing Tolerance, a local education and awareness program whose vision is to create a generation of educated and socially responsible youth. Embracing Tolerance seeks to arm teens and preteens with knowledge, empathy, and responsiveness to combat bullying, racism, and prejudice.

The race is part of the 2013 Black Bag Race Series.

Shirts and Goodies
All runners registered by October 16 will receive a T-shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed for runners (or children) signing up after October 16, 2013. There will be plenty of fluids and snacks.

Awards will be given to the Overall Male/Female, Overall Masters Male/Female and top finishers in age groups beginning with 10 and Under up to 75 and over. Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.

Fees
$20 before 10/16/13. $25 afterward and raceday. 1K Fun Run $15 before 10/16/13.Additional Date Information
