GenHERation Summer Leadership Series Atlanta

The GenHERation Summer Leadership Series Atlanta event will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at Heritage Sandy Springs (6110 Blue Stone Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30328) from 7-9 PM. This event will feature a panel of female professionals, interactive activities, and scholarships for attendees. GenHERation will welcome a panel of accomplished women in Atlanta, including, Dr. Debbie Phillips (President, The Quadrillion), Jodi Fleisig (SVP, Porter Novelli PR), Debbi Shapiro (Founder, Henderson Shapiro Peck), Wendy Kinney (Marketing Expert), and Elizabeth Jetton (Professor, Consultant, CFP). The event is open to girls entering grades 9-12 in the greater Atlanta and surrounding areas. The cost of admission is $10 and includes a t-shirt. GenHERation is a female empowerment network for millennial girls. We provide girls the opportunity to work with national corporations and nonprofit organizations to develop their own advocacy campaigns to address community issues. This process is supplemented through an interactive website that offers informative content, advice from industry professionals, and self-improvement exercises. By actively participating in advocacy campaigns and completing tasks on our website, girls have the ability to earn exclusive rewards and scholarships.


GenHERation was founded by Katlyn Grasso, a rising senior at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, from Buffalo, New York. She is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about empowering girls. Katlyn is a member of Wharton's Venture Initiation Program and received the 2014 Wharton Venture Award to support the national expansion of GenHERation. She is also the Managing Practice leader of the Wharton Small Business Development Center, the Co-President of Wharton Ambassadors, and the National Student Ambassador for Women in Toys.
