Forsyth Central Stage Presents "Into the Woods"

Forsyth Central Stage invites you "Into the Woods" April 17,18,19,24, and 25 at the Forsyth Central High School's Performing Arts Center. Shows begin at 7 p.m., and tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $10 adults/$8 students at www.forsythcentralstage.com .

This whimsical steampunk version of the classic American musical by Steven Sondheim is a mash up of both various fairy tales and time. The story centers around Cinderella, Jack with his beanstalk, Rapunzel, a baker and his wife, a wolf, a giant, two princes, and a witch who have their fates intertwined when they enter a mysterious forest to see their wishes come true. But, the true power of the play comes when we find out what happens after “happily ever after.”

Using traditional steampunk elements audiences will get to experience what the past would be like if the future happened sooner, thus emphasizing the misaligned views of the fairy tales we thought we knew

With an outstanding cast, multi-dimensional characters, unique design elements, and beautiful music, Forsyth Central Stage's "Into the Woods" promises to enlighten and entertain all audiences.
