About Chef Paul

Chef Paul Crum a Georgia native had the privilege to apprentice under Chef Wolfgang Hipell while attending the Atlanta Apprentice Program at the Capitol City Club. After the apprentice program he attended Auburn University and then moved to Mobile, Alabama.  Working and learning on the Gulf Coast added to his already nuevo southern culinary resume.  After returning to Atlanta he took over as the Executive Chef for the 50 year old restaurant that he had worked in the kitchen during High School where he developed his love for cooking.  Chef Crum developed a culinary education program and an apprenticeship program for a non-profit organization Creative Life where he was the acting director of culinary education.  This program gave opportunity for culinary education and life skill training to underprivileged and welfare recipients.

Chef Paul is now the culinary director and COO of Atlanta Culinary Exchange, LLC which also includes other holdings such as Gracious Gatherings, Chef Express and Atlanta Culinary Events.  After having been an executive chef, culinary director and restaurateur in Mobile and Atlanta he uses his education and experience to create menu and meal programs to help develop hormone free organic and nutritional balanced menus.

After having been an athlete accustomed to an active lifestyle and eating accordingly, life and business soon took over.  Chef went from 205 pounds to almost 400 pounds; he has spent the last year and a half bringing dietary change and physical discipline into his life which resulted in a loss of almost 100 pounds.  This goal is helping the post 40 generation realize there health potential at this turning point of their lives.
