Community Pet Day

Community Pet Day

Nov 3rd 1:30 to
3:30 pm

This
is a time we have set aside to celebrate our connections with our pets with the
community. Our pets are family members. Pets often reflect to us the
persistent, unconditional love of God. We want to make this a party! Let us
celebrate our pets together! The event will be outside at Community of Christ, 3315 Francis Road, Milton, GA 30004. We are doing pet blessings and
ask that the community bring a photo of their pet (preferred method) or their
pet on a leash or in a crate. We will say a blessing over the pet and family.

Canine
Assistants will join us and bring some of their service dogs. They will have
founder Jennifer Arnold’s books available for purchase. Two local rescue
groups, Ruff Rescue (dogs and cats) and Life’s Little Paws Cocker Spaniel Rescue, will be on site with
information regarding their animals.  And
yes, you will get to see some of their precious little ones!

Milton’s Senior Center
and Better Together will be handing out treat bags—with each bag is the
opportunity to win a door prize! The Senior
Center will also be
selling decorated horseshoes as a fundraiser. These popular decorations are
only $10 each with proceeds benefiting the Senior Center.

Soup Kitchen for Pets, a non-profit group dedicated to gathering pet supplies
for people struggling economically and therefore having a difficult time
keeping their pets. Go online at http://daffyspetsoupkitchen.info/
