Early Voting Starts Oct. 14 in Fulton

Residents will be able to cast their ballots before the Nov. 5 general elections.

Early voting for Fulton County residents for the 2013 elections will kick off next month.

Beginning Oct. 14, voters in the county will have a chance to cast their ballots early for the Nov. 5 elections. 

Voting will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at these locations:

  • Fulton County Government Center, 130 Peachtree Street, SW, Suite 2186, Atlanta
  • North Fulton Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Room 232, Sandy Springs
  • South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, Room 108, College Park
  • Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, 2nd Floor, Roswell
Beginning Monday Oct. 28 through Friday Nov. 1, advanced voting will be held at the following locations: 
Residents will also be allowed to vote early between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 26 at the Adamsville Recreational Center, Coan Recreation Center and Peachtree Hills Recreation Center. 

Alpharetta residents will be able to cast ballots at any of the locations above for its only contested race on Election Day, said City Clerk Coty Thigpen.

Resident Douglas DeRito will square off against Post 1 incumbent Donald Mitchell while incumbents Mike Kennedy of Post 2 and Chris Owens of Post 3 face no opposition. 

Thigpen noted it's the first year advanced voting will take place at Alpharetta City Hall, "so we are looking forward to a good turnout." 

The last day to register to vote in the election is Oct. 7. Registration forms are available at Alpharetta City HallFulton County Registration and Elections or online at the Georgia Secretary of State's website
