Alpharetta Girl Bitten by Dolphin at Sea World Caught on Video
WSB-TV reports the 8-year-old girl was feeding dolphins when she was bit.
Jillian Thomas was at Sea World Orlando the day before Thanksgiving, feeding the dolphins when one of them took a bite out of her when it was going after a small carton that had held fish, according to WSB-TV.
Thomas had been feeding the dolphins when she ran out of fish. She help up the carton to show her parents when the dolphin lunged, grabbing the carton and her arm at the same time. She suffered puncture wounds from the bite, as seen in the YouTube video.
Her dad, Jamie Thomas, said the park has signs posted to keep plates on the ledge while feeding the dolphins. No explanations were given with the notice, he said, which is why he posted the video of his daughter being bitten. Jillian learned why that rule was posted the hard way, and he wants to warn other parents.
