Thunderstorms May Be on the Way This Afternoon

Weather forecasters predict a 'cool' day with a high near 85 degrees.

You might need an umbrella this afternoon and tonight, as National Weather Service and Weatherbug.com forecasters say the chance for rain is 80 percent.

Today: Shows and thunderstorms are possible after 2 p.m., according to tne National Weather Service. The high will be near 85, making for a cooler day. The humidity will rob us of any comfort, however. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. Low around 69. West wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
