Parts of Big Creek Greenway Flooded in Alpharetta

Allpharetta has parts of its Big Creek Greenway trail – and even a parking lot – blocked or closed due to flooding that stems from Wednesday's severe thunderstorms.

"Areas of our trail at Haynes Bridge and North Point Church overpass are not passable and have been blocked due to flooding in those areas," said James Drinkard, assistant city administrator. The Haynes Bridge parking lot has also been closed due to flooding.

"All other areas of the trail are open at this time; however, we encourage everyone to use caution on the trail, as many areas are built within floodplains," Drinkard said.
