Local Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Stolen Items

Robert Hill could face up to 10 years in prison.

Robert Hill, a Roswell resident, pled guilty Wednesday to selling more than $9 million in stolen merchandise from an online eBay store over the course of 10 years, according the AJC.

Hill used an Alpharetta storage facility to keep the merchandise, which was knowingly supplied by "fraudsters." He would then ship the high-value goods, such as electronics and golf clubs, to customers all over the country at just under retail value.

The AJC reports:

Hill faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The court also has added a provision to potential sentencing that Hill forfeit more than $44,000 in cash, the contents of a pair of bank accounts valued at more than $47,000, a 1999 Lexus RS 300, and thousands of dollars worth of electronics and jewelry.
