Gusts in Forecast Lead to Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service says the wind gusts will last all day.

The winds will blow on Wednesday, so watch out for falling tree limbs blowing debris and be extra careful driving if you have a high-profile vehicle.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a wind advisory from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Wednesday. A wind advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least 20 mph, or gusts to 35 mph or stronger are expected.

Winds will be out of the west rom 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph. The impacts of the gusting wind will include:

  • Driving high profile vehicles may become difficult, especially along north to south oriented roads.
  • Loose objects may be blown around.
  • With very wet soils some trees and tree limbs may be knocked down as well.
