EndoChoice Honors Heroes During Their Week

The Alpharetta company is making a donation in the four medical professional's names.

An Alpharetta company is honoring four GI (Gastroenterology) professionals who were picked as EndoHeroes in 2012.

EndoChoice made the announcement through Marketwire in recorgnition of GI Nurses Day. Each EndoHero will have a donation made in their name to the GI society or department they choose.

Major Joan Davis, RN, Montefiore Medical Center, New York, NY -– serves with U.S. Army Reserve/Army Nurse Corps, including a one-year tour in Iraq, plus community involvement and humanitarian missions.

Elise Dorr-Dorynek, BSN, RN, CRRN, CGRN, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA -- Medical Reserve Corps, communication education programs and non-denominational volunteer chaplain.

Richard Honer, MD, Gessler Clinic, Winter Haven, FL – medical director at Angels Care Center (free clinic), community involvement, mission trips to the Dominican Republic.

Richard McGlaughlin, MD, Alabama Digestive Diseases, P.C., Birmingham, AL – spends one week every month volunteering in Haiti, directing a GI lab he established there.
