Causes of Death Determined in Johns Creek Murder-Suicide - Johns Creek Patch

The causes of death in the apparent murder-suicide that claimed the lives of a family of four in a Johns Creek apartment complex were hanging, injury by sharp objects and blunt force trauma, said Police Chief Ed Densmore on Tuesday.

The two children, Sartaj and Gurtej Grover, suffered injury by sharp objects; their mother, Damanjit Kaur Grover, suffered blunt force trauma, and the father, Shivinder Singh Grover, died by hanging. See Johns Creek Patch for more on this story.

Father Delivers Baby at Shell Gas Station with Help of E911Douglasville Patch

Brynlee Josephine Favia was welcomed into the world on Friday morning, Feb. 1, at 6:05 a.m. and delivered in the parking lot of the Shell gas station on Post Road in Douglasville by her father, Brandon.

Roswell Police Wreck in Separate GA 400 Accidents – Roswell Patch

The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting two separate Roswell Police cruisers wrecked while responding to an accident on Ga. 400, Monday, Feb. 4.

The first responding officer collided with another vehicle at Holcomb Bridge Road and Market Boulevard and the second officer struck a pedestrian at Holcomb Bridge and Grimes Bridge roads, according to ajc.com. Check for updates on Roswell Patch.

Former Hotel on Fulton Industrial Burns to the Ground – Cascade Patch

Atlanta firefighters responded early Tuesday morning to a call of an abandoned building on fire near the edge of Southwest Atlanta.

The abandoned building was once the InHome Suites located at 660 Interchange Drive SW, near the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Fulton Industrial Boulevard. Read more on Cascade Patch.

Unidentified Man Struck and Killed By Train in Peachtree Corners – Peachtree Corners Patch

A man was struck and killed by a Norfolk Southern freight train Monday afternoon. The accident occurred on the 6900 block of Buford Highway in the City of Peachtree Corners.

Cpl. Jake Smith, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department said the train was traveling northeast at about 35 mph when the man was hit. Read more on Peachtree Corners Patch.

Two Arrested in Marijuana Grow House Bust in Forsyth County – Cumming Patch

Authorities have busted a marijuana grow house located off Buford Dam Road in Forsyth County.

"We found in the basement of the home, 32 marijuana plants between 5 feet and 7 feet high, said Sheriff Duane Piper. "We also discovered an unknown amount of marijuana buds that were drying and multiple pieces of equipment, such as lights and a filtering system that are used in an indoor grow house."
