Bundle Up the Kids Before Sending Them Out to Catch the School Bus

Freezing temperatures greeted early morning commuters, and it isn't that much warmer now.

Freezing temperatures in North Georgia, including Alpharetta and Milton, greeted early morning commuters today. Parents need to be sure children are bundled up while waiting for buses--or even in the carpool.

At 5:30 a.m., the temperature was 33 degrees in Alpharetta. By 8 a.m. it should reach 35 degrees, and eventually reach a high of 56 degrees around 3 p.m.

Northwest winds between 5 and 10 mph on this Veterans Day will make it feel even cooler, though it will be sunny all day, according to the National Weather Service.
