Alpharetta Woman Wins $20,000 in Georgia Lottery

This marks the second time in two years she's won a big prize in instant ticket games.

An Alpharetta woman has won a big prize from the Georgia Lottery for the second time in two years, this time taking home $20,000.

Susan Armstrong-Clark just won $20,000 in the instant game $400,000 Grant.

The lucky winner selected her ticket from the Georgia Lottery’s Instant Ticket Vending Machine while grocery shopping.

“It was a very lucky pick,” she said. “I feel pretty darn good.”

Two years ago she won $5,000 playing another Georgia Lottery instant game, Jumbo Jumbo Bucks. “I used it for renovations and a ski trip,” said Armstrong-Clark, 64.

Both winning lottery tickets were purchased at Publix Super Market locations in Milton. Her recent win was at the Publix on GA 9 near Bethany Bend. The winning ticket in 2010 was bought at the Publix on Birmingham Road.

Armstrong-Clark claimed her $20,000 prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.
