Alpharetta, Milton Churches Hold Good Friday Services

Alpharetta City Hall will be closed today.

Alpharetta City Hall and other city facilities will be closed today in observance of Good Friday.

Alpharetta Christian Academy

Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre will be the site tonight for a sold out Good Friday commemoration with Louie Giglio, Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill & David Crowder. If you don't have plans to attend, avoid Maxwell Street in the hour leading up to the service.

Good Friday Services

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church will have services starting at noon, including Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. indoors and outdoors today, and Liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 5 p.m. (Spanish) and 8 p.m. (English).

St. Brigid Catholic Church holds confessions and The Seven Last Words of Christ from noon-3 p.m., Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. and at 7 p.m., "The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ" and Veneration of the Cross.

St. James United Methodist Church, 6 & 7 p.m.

Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, noon

Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, 7:30 p.m.

St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, Liturgy, noon; Stations of the Cross, 7 p.m.

Christ the Shepherd, 7:30 p.m.

Inner Quest Church, silent meditation, 11 a.m.; service including communion at noon.

Birmingham United Methodist Church, 7 p.m.
