SuperGreen Solutions Brings Green Energy to Atlanta Metro Area

Marvin Austin sees green days ahead. Having recently left behind his career in business management and IT security, Austin will open SuperGreen Solutions on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 1605 Mansell Road, Suite D, in Alpharetta.

“SuperGreen Solutions is a pioneering opportunity not just for me as a businessman, but for everyone in the community to invest in the future of the Earth with green energy,” he said.

Austin is a native of the Atlanta area and served for four years in the U.S. Navy from ages 17 to 21. He earned a BBA and MBA from Oglethorpe University and began working for a national service company. He quickly worked his way up to executive vice president of operations with nearly 5,000 employees under his leadership, and then became a partner at an information technology security firm. After two years in that position, however, he wanted a job with more purpose and decided that green energy was the answer to his dissatisfaction.

“People are looking for practical solutions to their everyday problems that also are more responsible to the earth and our environment in the long run,” he said. “With SuperGreen Solutions, we are able to offer them both the products and the expertise to integrate green energy solutions into every aspect of their lives.”

SuperGreen Solutions is a single destination from which to shop green products for all aspects of residential or commercial use. The company offers a comprehensive approach, which includes rebate advice, tax credit guidance, sales, installation and after-sales service. It also provides in-home consultations to help customers make informed decisions about their purchases. Products range from LED lighting and solar power solutions to ventilation and insulation products for homes and businesses. Additionally, the company focuses on the booming industry surrounding energy management, energy storage and electric vehicle charge stations. Customers include home and business owners looking to lower their energy and maintenance costs through the use of a single product or by completely greening their home or business from head to toe. Commercial clients typically include auto dealerships, hair salons, gas stations, restaurants and bars, grocery stores, office buildings and more, as well as builders and contractors.

Unlike other businessmen, Austin has seen the slow recovery from the economic recession as a positive for his business. “People are more aware of how they spend money,” he explained. “They are reevaluating where their dollars need to go and are very open to alternatives that help them save money on everyday expenses. Being environmentally-conscious goes hand-in-hand with saving money.” Because his SuperGreen Solutions store is able to offer alternative energy solutions for all aspects of residential and commercial life, including solar power, energy efficient water heaters, LED lighting and more,  he is able to offer his community more options and information about green energy overall and make a bigger impact.

“When I talk about green energy, people are definitely listening,” he said. “When I’m at a networking event or talking to an environmentally-conscious group, they are excited to hear that we are opening. While there are preconceived notions about green energy that we still need to dispel, there is a lot of enthusiasm for this kind of innovative technology.”

The anticipation for his opening and the products that his store will offer makes Austin confident there is a great future for SuperGreen Solutions and green energy in the Atlanta metro area, and he is already planning for future growth. He sees great opportunity to become a leader in the green industry and hopes to have at least one more location open within three years.

SuperGreen currently has 13 locations in nine states, including California, Texas, Iowa, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Georgia and Colorado. The company has four additional locations under development, and is targeting California, Washington, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania, among other strategic markets for growth. By the end of 2014, the company expects to have 70 stores open and plans call for a total of 300 locations within 3 to 5 years. For more information, visit www.supergreensolutions.com
