Local Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic physician named Top Doctor by Atlanta magazine

Dr. John A. Zora of the Alpharetta location of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (401 South Main St., Suite C-1) — the largest allergy practice in Georgia — was named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine.

Six additional Atlanta Allergy physicians joined Dr. Zora as Top Doctor honorees: Drs. Stanley M. Fineman, Linda D. Guydon, Kathleen A. Sheerin, and David D. Tanner were also named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine, and Drs. David W. Carlton and Kevin L. Schaffer were included in the prestigious online Top Doctor listing by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a leading healthcare research company based in New York. Atlanta Allergy has had multiple physicians on the Top Doctor list since its inception.

Atlanta magazine named a total of seven physicians to the allergy and immunology category of their 2014 Top Doctors list. With five Atlanta Allergy physicians named, the practice comprised more than 70 percent of the magazine’s Top Doctors list for allergy and immunology.

The Top Doctors listing is compiled annually by Castle Connolly. The organization also compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.

Dr. Zora said receiving the award is a great honor. “This listing helps to recognize the important role specialists play in diagnosing and treating allergy and asthma conditions, and we’re thrilled to be such an integral part of this treatment for the Atlanta community. I’m grateful to be recognized among so many of my esteemed colleagues and other great physicians,” said Dr. Zora.
