Verizon Wireless Names New Vice President for Georgia/Alabama

The company's Georgia/Alabama region is based in Milton on Deerfield Parkway, with additional offices in Alpharetta on North Point Parkway.

Goodbye Jeff Mango, hello Jonathan LeCompte. Verizon Wireless announced today, Nov. 3, that LeCompte has replaced Mango as president of its Georgia/Alabama Region.

Mango has been named vice president of Customer and Business Intelligence at Verizon Communications and will now be based in Basking Ridge, NJ, according to today's news release from the company.

I met Mango not long before the amphitheater design in Alpharetta was revealed for the first time, which is when the naming––also was announced. He told tales of his start in the wireless industry as a salesman at a mall kiosk.

“Jonathan has a long history with Verizon Wireless and brings a wealth of strategic sales management and operational experience to his new role,” said Tang.
