Under 12 Tennis Champs in Alpharetta Get Chance at Unique Prize

One lucky girl went home after competing in the USTA Girls 12 and Under National Championship Tournament held at Windward Lake Club.

A Florida girl who was in Alpharetta for the USTA Girls 12 and Under National Championship Tournament won something she didn't expect – an doll dressed in a tennis outfit.

The (CVB) gave away an American Girl doll to one athlete during the tournament that was held from Aug. 5-10 at the . 

The Alpharetta CVB said there were 140 rising tennis stars from around the U.S. who competed in the tournament this year. Among the young athletes was Jimena Rodriquez Benito from Key Biscayne, Fla. whose name was drawn to win an American Girl doll dressed in a tennis outfit. Benito was not familiar with the American Girl brand before entering the contest, but was excited to learn more now that she was the winner of the doll, according to the Alpharetta CVB.
