Traffic Lights at GA 400/Windward Pkwy. Interection Will Go Dark

Sawnee EMC plans to cut power to make electric line repairs.

Driving in Alpharetta on Sunday morning at the GA 400 interchange at Windward Parkway in Alpharetta will become a little more difficult because of utility work.

Alpharetta has been notified that this Sunday morning Sawnee EMC will temporarily cut power to the traffic signals at the Windward Parkway/GA 400 interchange. The temporary service interruption is necessary due to repair and maintenance work to electric power lines in that area.

Sawnee has not yet provided information on how the traffic signals will be impacted.

City of Alpharetta police officers will be directing traffic in the affected area during the service interruption. However, motorists are encouraged to choose alternate travel routes on Sunday morning to avoid the interchange if possible.
