The Back To School Sales Are Starting in Alpharetta, Milton

As much as we all hate to admit it, it is time to start getting the deals on back to school supplies.

Summer vacation is in full swing and the very last thing that parents or kids want to think about is getting supplies for back to school time. But, now is the time. We may not know who our teachers are or the specific items we will need for their classes just yet, but we know there will be certain items that are necessities every year for the classroom and at home. This is the week to start on this stocking up for the year.

is having their back to school sale this week. When customers buy $5 worth of products, they qualify to get items for a penny. Pencil cap erasers, ball point pen packages and school glue are only one cent through Wednesday when shoppers spend $5. The deals to get to that $5 minimum are plentiful. Pencils, pencil cases, colored tape flags and folders are just a quarter this week. Shoppers can even get a ream of printer paper for a quarter if use the rebate attached to their receipt when they buy it. The $1 items this week include staplers, paper and binder clips, sharpies, post it pads, journals, legal pads, memo book, photo paper and scissors. The $2 items include Crayola products, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, soap, highlighters, memo pads as well as other products. Flash drives and electric pencil sharpeners are more than 50 percent off and specific backpacks are 50 percent off. Binders, hard drives, computers and monitors are all on sale as well. This store is having a huge back to school sale this week and many shoppers will be able to get great deals.

is also getting started on the back to school deals this week. Backpacks, lunch boxes and lunch accessories are all on sale. For the best selection on the youngster themed backpacks and lunch boxes, start early. Shoppers who wait until the week before school starts will find that their child's favorite character backpack may be sold out already and full price. Target has bottles of glue and glue sticks for 20 cents this week, portfolio folders are 50 cents. Sharpies are $1 and Crayola products are $2. Paper notebooks, pens, pencils and other school desk necessities are also on sale. If the item you need or want is not on sale, just wait. The store will change the items each week until school starts with sale prices. While you are at Target, remember to walk through their toys' clearance section as the store is still clearing out the items and getting ready for the holiday shopping. Getting that jump start on Christmas shopping a little bit at a time while you are already there will save you money and stress as the holidays get closer.

As back to school time gets closer, more sales will be happening at local stores. When it comes to back to school, be sure to not pay full price for the necessities. Start early and follow the promotions. Don't worry, Patch will remind you of the great deals. You may have to buy a few items each week, but by the time school starts, you will be ready and you will have saved a bundle. Remember that teachers send home notes throughout the year as they start to run low on supplies in the classroom. Think ahead for this. Parents will also need certain items for the kids to do homework as well. Pencils and glue sticks always seem to be in high demand in my house all year long and this summer I will buy extra while they are on sale rather than paying full price through out the year as the new ones are needed. It may be only saving a little at a time but all of the little savings add up big in the long run.
