Synovus Bank Launches New Free App

Synovus Bank, which includes local branches, has introduced the new Synovus Mobile Banking application, a free mobile banking solution which can be accessed by virtually any mobile device.

The app delivers easy, quick and secure banking access via any mobile device. Customers can:

  • View recent transactions
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Pay bills
  • Find Synovus Bank branches and ATMs across the Southeast

"We are excited to offer this enhanced service to our customers that allows them to manage their accounts anywhere they happen to be, whether on the road, at a restaurant, or at the kids' soccer game," Wayne Akins, chief community banking officer at Synovus. "Since launching this new product, we have seen a 50 percent increase in the number of customers downloading and using this new application."

The app is available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices.

Regions Bank is another financial institution offering mobile apps for iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices. Search for "Regions Mobile Banking" for the free app.

Regions said customers can check balances, view transaction history, establish alerts, transfer funds, pay bills and locate ATMs and branches. Bill payment requires customers to create payees within online banking, so you'll need to use your computer to set those up.
