North Fulton Hospital Tops in Surgical, Heart Attack and Pneumonia Care

The Joint Commission calls the local hospital a top performer in the nation.

North Fulton Hospital's quality in surgical care, heart attack and pneumonia care earned it recognition as one of the nation’s top performers today, Sept. 14, by The Joint Commission, an accreditor of health care organizations in America.

North Fulton Hospital was recognized by The Joint Commission based on data reported about evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure pneumonia, children’s asthma and surgical care.

North Fulton Hospital is one of only 405 U.S. hospitals and critical access hospitals earning this distinction. North Fulton Hospital was one of two facilities within Metro Atlanta receiving this top distinction. The second was Atlanta Medical Center.
