North Fulton CID Adds Staff

The Community Improvement District hires an assistant project manager to help advance infrastructure projects.

The North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID) has hired Kristin Rome of Acworth as an assistant project manager. Rome will assist North Fulton CID Chief Operating Officer Ann Hanlon in advancing infrastructure projects throughout the district.

Kristin’s knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to the North Fulton region make her a fantastic asset to our team,” Hanlon said. “She also brings an intense interest in CIDs, so Kristin is really an ideal fit for us.”

Prior to joining the North Fulton CID, Rome studied community improvement districts as part of her graduate thesis at Kennesaw State University, where she earned a dual master’s degree in public administration and business administration. Her work will be published in Public Performance & Management Review later this year.

Rome received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. Currently involved with the Boy Scouts of America as an adviser for the Venture Crew youth development program, she also served as an intern for the Association County Commissioners of Georgia and the Arthritis Foundation Southeast Region, both in Atlanta. Rome has been inducted into numerous honor societies, including Pi Alpha Alpha, Order of Omega and Pi Alpha Theta.

The North Fulton CID was formed by a group of commercial property owners who agreed to self tax themselves to improve the infrastructure and appearance of the district. Westside Parkway's southern section and the are two examples where those funds were used. Plus the GA 400 interchanges have been landscaped to show visitors they arrived–hopefully including more business leaders looking for a new home for their companies.
