North Fulton Chamber Helps AirWatch Expand

The Sandy Springs mobile technology and security company included the chamber's economic development arm, Progress Partners, with helping the expansion happen.

Progress Partners of North Fulton Atlanta was included in the praise when AirWatch announced it would expand its headquarters by adding 800 jobs.

Progress Partners is the economic development arm of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, and has consulting arrangements with most North Fulton cities.

Brandon Beach, president & CEO of the chamber, said on Jan. 25, "I am thrilled to share with you the exciting news released today by Governor Deal regarding AirWatch. This is another great win for Progress Partners, the GNFCC, the City of Sandy Springs, and all of North Fulton."

Progress Partners Executive Director Al Nash said, "It was a pleasure working on this project with our great regional partners."

Sandy Springs Patch reported that Air Watch plans to bring the 800 jobs to its Sandy Springs headquarters over the next two years. The company also plans to invest $4 million in new equipment. 

Gov. Nathan Deal said, “Georgia has become a hotbed for companies engaged in mobile applications and other advanced technologies.”

This announcement follows recent news of GM opening an IT center in Roswell, with plans for 1,000 jobs. Hiring has already begun for this North Fulton IT Innovation Center.
