Nation's Chief Technology Officer Talks Business in Milton

Chopra visits roundtable formed with Progress Partners of North Fulton Atlanta.

Aneesh Chopra, chief technology officer for the United States, made a stop in North Fulton on Oct. 18 to meet with 25 of North Fulton's technology leaders, according to .

Chopra serves as an assistant to the President of the United States and associate director for Technology within the Office of Science & Technology Policy. He works to advance the President's technology agenda by fostering new ideas and encouraging government-wide coordination to help the country meet its goal from job creation, to reducing health care costs, to protecting the homeland.

"I really appreciate my visit here to North Fulton," said Chopra. "The energy and enthusiasm in the business climate seem to be moving in the right direction... North Fulton is working really hard to make this a place that is going to be very successful. I congratulate the team and look forward to great results for the companies and the jobs and the future that will be invented right here in North Fulton."

Progress Partners of North Fulton Atlanta, the economic development initiative of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, worked with strategic partner Frazier & Deeter to fill the room at with a combination of healthcare, communications and innovative technology leaders from North Fulton. The result was a comprehensive roundtable able to communicate a clear vision to our National leadership, as well as listening to Mr. Chopra's vision for our future, according to the organization's news release.

"As chief technology officer of the United States, Mr. Chopra is in a unique position to advise and help implement the important technology and information initiatives that have both short term and long term implications for our country," said Robert Woosley, director of Strategic Initiatives at Frazier & Deeter. "Our clients and other technology business leaders in the North Fulton corridor represent many of the nation's top innovators and employers in areas of healthcare and communication technologies. The dialogue and exchange of ideas with Mr. Chopra was productive for all concerned."
