Great Escape: Break Away With A Paintbrush

Alpharetta-Milton has a relaxing getaway right here on Main Street.

After a long week of work stress, sick kids, chewing puppies and everything else that goes along with a typical week in the life of a mom, a break is deserved and needed. If, as moms, we take the time out of the daily chaos for some grown up time, we can be better parents. This column is devoted to finding moms one great escape each week. Whether it is a a couple of hours out or a weekend away, the only rule is that it is for grown ups only. So, hire that babysitter and grab your husband or your girlfriends and get ready for this week's Great Escape.

All Fired Up is a paint it yourself pottery studio. The studio does not charge an hourly studio fee so it is the perfect place to spend an evening. They offer a variety of items to paint from toothbrush holders to plates and once you are done painting it, they will fire it for you so it is ready for your use with no more effort from you.  The only cost involved is the cost of the item that you choose to paint and these range from $5 to $100, so how much you spend is totally up to you.

This is a great place to go for date night. Couples can pick a restaurant to go to on Main Street and then walk over to the art studio or paint first and then eat. Either way, park the car and walk.
