Fulton County Appoints Hodge to Development Authority

Commissioner Liz Hausmann nominated the local entrepreneur and developer to the county board.

Penn Hodge has been appointed to the Development Authority of Fulton County, according to Brandon Beach, president & CEO of .

Beach made the announcement after the Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted Penn Hodge to the Board of the Development Authority of Fulton County at its regular meeting on March 2. Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann nominated Hodge to this board.

“Penn Hodge’s impressive economic development background and his service as a member of the Economic Development Board for the State of Georgia will bring tremendous value to all of Fulton County,” said Hausmann in the chamber's news release.

Al Nash with Progress Partners of North Fulton Atlanta, the economic development initiative of the GNFCC, said the appointment is a win-win for North Fulton.

"I have no doubt he will play an integral role in helping us bring new jobs to our area,” Nash said.

Beach said, “With our Progress Partners initiative bringing the six North Fulton cities together, this is a natural fit to have Penn representing us on the Development Authority.”

The Development Authority of Fulton County has issued more than $7.5 billion in bonds and helped more than 300 businesses and institutions build, upgrade, renovate, expand or relocate in Fulton County.

The DAFC works with other state and local development organizations as well as with area chambers of commerce.

Progress Partners of North Fulton Atlanta is an economic development initiative of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce designed to position North Fulton and its six cities­–Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Roswell and Sandy Springs–as one of the top destinations in Atlanta for long-term economic growth and superior quality of life.
