Former Atlanta Hotel Manager Comes To Alpharetta

Kirk Wright, the former general manager at the Artmore Hotel in midtown Atlanta, has joined the Banyan team in Alpharetta at Hotel Sierra on Windward Parkway.

The hotel is in the process of transitioning to Holiday Inn Express and Suites.

Wright will be able to use his experience as the senior operations manager of the 520 room all-inclusive Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Jamaica to assist with this conversion.

“Kirk is a professional with integrity and sound work ethics, said Jean-Marc Rousseau, Holiday Inn general manager. "He understands the dynamics of responsibility while maintaining the integrity of the product and guest satisfaction. He would be an asset to any organization."

Wright noted he has been committed to excellence since he first tested the waters of the hospitality business while working as a dish washer at his father’s boutique dive resort.

"While working summer jobs with my father, I became hooked on hospitality and decided this is what I wanted to do with my life," he said.

After attaining a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality at Florida International University, he set out to attain his dream: working his way up the ranks from houseman to general manager.

"We are excited to welcome Kirk to the awesome city of Alpharetta," said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. "His hospitality experience will help Alpharetta continue to grow as an awesome destination."
