Opening of the 2012 Alpharetta Farmers' Market Season

The Alpharetta Farmers' Market opens its 2012 season with extended hours. Held in conjunction with the City of Alpharetta Art and Street Fest, the market's hours will be from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The Art and Street Fest will be from 10 am to 6 pm.

Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau President Janet Rodgers describes the Farmers Market as featuring "farmers with fruits, vegetables and organic meats, gardeners with fresh flowers and herbs, and makers of all sorts of edible home goods from yummy desserts and breads to local raw honey and homemade sauces."

Once again the Farmers Market will be in Historic Downtown Alpharetta on Main Street in the City Hall parking lot. It's easy to find–just look for the tents in the lot by the gazebo in downtown. More than 30 vendors may be expected throughout the season.
