Doing The Holiday Shopping For Kids Now Will Save Money Later

Many of the best deals in Alpharetta and Milton on toys for the year are in June and July.

Some of the best bargains on toys of the year are happening now through July. Stores are getting ready for the new items that will be coming in for Christmas and the clearance of the old is here. If you know what your child is into or what they want for the winter holidays, this is a great opportunity for you. Not including board games and video games, because the best of these sales before the holidays are still to come later this fall, June and July are the perfect time to pick up many great gifts at huge savings.

is one of the best stores to watch for the hidden sales. Right now, they have several toys already marked down 30 percent off. These toys are still in the regular toy sections mixed in with the other toys as well as on the endcaps where we are accustomed to finding the clearance toys. Today I saw Barbie toys, Lego sets, Zhu Zhu pets, and infant toddler toys all at reduced prices. Over in the craft section of the store, bargain shoppers will find art supplies for kids marked down.

Because these are clearanced items, these are not advertised sales where customers can get rain checks, nor will they come back again once gone. The variety will change and fluctuate as the stores move merchandise around and mark new items down. This is the place to keep eyes open all through out the store and at both Alpharetta Target locations.

The prices right now are at 30 percent off on many items. These prices will continue to drop through the month of July until they drop to 75 percent off and finally 90 percent off before August begins. Once they get a large selection of clearanced items in the toy section, they will turn entire aisles into sale aisles. For the best selection, start looking up and down the toy aisles now. You can always get a price adjustment at the customer service desk if you purchase something today that drops in price within the same week or the next week following your purchase.

The sales are on at as well.  Take some time to look through the clearance bins in the video game section. On a few deal watching websites, people have been reporting that they are finding games priced under $10 that are currently being sold elsewhere for $20 and higher. I also noticed that there were several random items marked down throughout the store. They too, are clearing shelves of the toys from this past year to get ready for the new items for the holidays.

The store is also  offering a deal where customers can pre-order the Lion King on dvd which is not expected to come out until October. When you do this, you will get a coupon for $8 off another Disney title. Just in time for the holidays, shoppers will be able to use this $8 coupon along with the movie coupons and sales that are so frequent in the fall and winter months. This is sure to make for a great deal for Disney movie watchers.

Also at Toys  R Us are many deals at the store and online. Because customers can also buy online and pick up at the store for no additional charge, shoppers can take advantage of the online only discounts they have to offer. For example, many of the Nerf items are buy one, get one half off right now. Several of the ones that are not at the store in the sale are online for 20 percent off of their regular price.

Anyone that has kids to shop for and always gets hit with the big bills during the winter months should take advantage of these current price drops. Getting the items on sale now not only save you from paying full price for the same gifts later in the year, it also spreads out the holiday shopping so the winter months are not quite as expensive for holiday gift givers.
