“We are so excited to bring the Chicken Salad Chick experience to our second Atlanta area location,” said Kevin Brown, president of Chicken Salad Chick. “We are confident that this location in Alpharetta will enrich the growing CSC community across the Southeast.”

Owners Chip Patterson, Chris Damico, Stephen Polhill and Scott Pressly of PDP Ventures, LLC are "excited to bring a restaurant to Alpharetta following on the heels of the company’s recent franchise launch in Marietta," the company said in a news release.

PDP Ventures, LLC plans to open nine additional locations in the Atlanta area as well as two in Athens.

Chicken Salad Chick's "fast-casual" concept was developed in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008 by founder Stacy Brown.

Brown quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown.

They both opened a small takeout restaurant which grew rapidly.

The business offers customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as soups, side salads and fresh desserts, the press release states.

Chicken Salad Chick plans to open 85 franchises across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the next few years.

“After such a successful opening in nearby Marietta, we are thrilled to expand our presence in the Atlanta area,” Brown stated. “It is so encouraging that great people like the men of PDP Ventures want to share our concept and passion with those in their area.”
