Cheese Recall at Alpharetta Farmers Market

Norcross-based AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery issued the recall on mozzarella sold last week at five farmer's markets.

A vendor at the Alpharetta Farmers Market has issued a recall on mozzarella cheese, according to its Tuesday night Facebook post.

In an earlier Facebook post, Norcross-based AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery issued the recall on mozzarella sold last week at five farmer’s markets. The cheese packages read “best by date 7/16.”

In addition to Alpharetta, the Creamery said cheese was sold at Sandy Springs  Farmers Market, Marietta Square, Peachtree Road Farmers Market and Piedmont Park farmers market.

A second post by the Creamery said, “With 1 degree of pasteurization off, we feel fairly certain it is all good, but to be safe, please bring your cheese back to any farmers market this week for a refund or trade for a new cheese and a yogurt on the house for your trouble.”
