An Alpharetta stylist took third place in a national competition among Sports Clips
Brooke Lee Smith of Atlanta, who works in the , won third place with a look she created.
Smith says it was “textured and versatile” and can be worn in a structured “Mad Men” look or “messy and funky.” Smith said she always wanted to do hair, and says Sport Clips offers a fun and comfortable atmosphere where there’s room for career growth.

2nd place (runner up) - Michelle Dave, Lewis Center, OH - $1,500, shears and trophy
3rd place - Brooke Lee Smith, Alpharetta - $1,000, clippers and trophy
4th place - Christina Hernandez, Austin, TX - $500 and plaque
5th place/Honorable Mention - Tonia Rogers, Moore, OK - $500 and plaque
Lindsey Combs of Pleasant Hill, California was selected as “The Look 2012” competition winner. She describes her winning style as a “faux hawk made into something a businessman could wear” with its longer, textured back and shorter sides.
The runner-up in the competition was Michelle Dave of Lewis Center, Ohio. The look she designed was achieved by using Sport Clips All-Star haircutting system and was tapered at the neck and edges and graduated leaving a dramatic lift on top.
Christina Hernandez of Austin, Texas took fourth place in The Look. Her design was “textured with a lot of movement” achieved with both the cut and products.
Honorable mention went to Tonia Rogers of Moore, OK. She designed a “clipper overcomb” with a textured front and sharp, clean back.
All finalists received $100 cash, as well as travel and hotel accommodations in Orlando for the conference.
