An Alpharetta-bsaed organization that helps American veterans find jobs has been honored for its service to those serving in the military.
The award program spotlights nonprofit organizations "that have proven to be the most effective and efficient at placing veterans into high quality careers," according to a press release.
"We are honored to be one of the original recipients of what will surely prove to be a prestigious award – the Call of Duty Endowment Seal of Distinction," said Brian Stann, president and CEO of Hire Heroes USA. "The Endowment has consistently shown their belief in us through their ongoing financial support, and we have repaid that belief by assisting the most veterans possible with the funds they have provided. This award serves as additional validation for our model of helping to place America’s veterans into meaningful careers."
The call for submissions is now open and organizations may apply for the Call of Duty Endowment ‘Seal of Distinction’ through Sept. 27, 2013, by completing the application at www.CallofDutyEndowment.org.
Nominees for the honor must:
- Be a charitable, non-profit, with 501(c)(3) status.
- Have a mission that incorporates directly assisting unemployed veterans in finding jobs.
- Complete our application and, should they be selected as a finalist, submit to verification.
Also important to include is the number of veterans placed in jobs, average cost-per-placement and a profile of typical veterans served, among other categories.
Rules for participation can be found on the endowment's website.
