Alpharetta Business Executive Wins Health Underwriters Honor

The Johns Creek resident is president of Admin America Inc., an employee benefits administration company.

Daniel R. "Trey" Tompkins III has been named the winner of the 2013 Georgia  Health Professional of the Year,

Tompkins, the president of Admin America Inc., an employee benefits administration company based in Alpharetta, received the award at the Georgia Association of Health Underwriters annual convention in Savannah.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by my peers with this award.  I enjoy all of the work I do on behalf of our Association in support of the private health care financing market," Tompkins said. 

The Kathy Cruce Memorial Health Underwriter of the Year Award is the highest award bestowed by the organization. In selecting a recipient, consideration is given to the individual’s professional stature with the industry, his/her support of association programs, his/her career achievement and his/her civic, cultural and humanitarian involvements. It is awarded in the memory of Kathy Cruce, an active and valuable contributor to the health insurance industry and the Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters. Upon her death from cancer in the early 1990’s her employer, Brown Wright & Co. (now known as The Benefits Company) honored her memory with a perpetual endowment for this Award.

Tompkins is a resident of Johns Creek and a member of Rotary Club of Milton-Windward and the State Bar of Georgia. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A. 1991), the University of Georgia School of Law (J.D. 1991) and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University (M.B.A. 2011.
