Company Designs Mural for Hopewell Middle

Thoroughbred Design Group designed a five-panel mural that was installed in the rotunda at the school in Milton.

A local company was recently chosen to design a mural for Hopewell Middle School.

Thoroughbred Design Group was selected to design and install the mural at the school. Titled Pillars of Education, the mural is a five panel one that greets students and faculty at the school's rotunda.

Each of the 12 foot by 7 foot panel focuses on a particular subject and "shares images of people, events and messages that a middle schooler might encounter during their studies," the company said.

Thoroughbred Design Group was selected to design and install the mural.

Dr. Lenora Patterson, the former principal at Hopewell, chose the company to design and install the mural.

"I wanted to work with someone local and I was impressed with Thoroughbred Design Group’s design work and proposal," she added.

The company has also created a web site that extends the experience for the students. An open house to view the mural is scheduled for either in September or October.
