Better Together Collects School Supplies For Children

Event organizers need new backpacks and various school supplies like paper and pencils.

Milton’s Better Together volunteer organization is again partnering with non-profit North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) to collect supplies for its annual Back to School Health and Wellness Event.

The event will be held on Aug. 9.

Residents who wish to pitch-in may drop supplies off at Milton City Hall, located at 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., said Community Builder Wayne Boston.

Residents may also arrange for pickup of larger donations by contacting Boston at 678-242-2512 or wayne.boston@cityofmiltonga.us.

All supplies must be collected by Aug. 4 to ensure distribution to students, said Boston.

In addition to providing school supplies, NFCC will also be conducting health and wellness screenings for all families. Last year, about 498 families received assistance through this program.

Better Together is a volunteer organization of Milton residents looking for unique and fun ways to connect with neighbors.
