Amana Academy Will Complete Middle School Classrooms by October

Amana Academy's new middle school classrooms will be completed by October, six weeks later than expected, according to a newsletter from the school.

The delay was caused by moving Taggart's Driving School to the opposite retail wing of the plaza (Satay House side). That move required getting GA Department of Transportation certification for Taggart's new classroom space, with the timing out of the hands of Taggart's.

Last April Amana Academy closed on the 100,000 square foot Alpharetta Square shopping plaza. An $8.6 million bond allowed the school to to purchase the 10.66-acre site. It also was used to renovate 18,000 square feet of the plaza for new middle school classrooms and STEM labs including a "Club Shop".
