ShamRockin’ for a Cure was started in honor of the Baker Family of Roswell. Gavin, 13 years old, and Jake, 11 years old, better known as “the Fabulous Baker Boys” were born with Cystic Fibrosis. Parents Jon and Pam are crusaders in the fight to extend the lives of Cystic Fibrosis patients through their tireless work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In 2013, over 1,200 people attended the event and contributed over $242,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. There are 30,000 young people in the U.S. fighting for their lives with Cystic Fibrosis. Every dollar raised at ShamRockin’ for a Cure goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to support the research vital to combat the deadly disease.

Individual tickets are $85 per person and include food, beer, wine, cocktails and giveaways. There are also VIP suites and Corporate Sponsorships available. All tickets get you on the stage dancing with new and old friends. There will also be exciting live and silent auctions that will be packed with something for everyone-trips, dining, adventure, jewelry, gift certificates and a live auction including a week at the La Casa dei Fiordalisi in Trequanda, Italy.

Dancing will surely bring on an appetite, so local restaurants will be at the event ready to serve guests with delicious dishes. The “Taste of ShamRockin” restaurants include Ceviche Taqueria, Smokejack Southern Grill and BBQ, Roswell Tap, Metro Café Group, Adele’s Cajun, Roux, Olde Blind Dog, PURE Taqueria, Dal Cuore Restaurant, Sip Wine, Mambo Jambo Cafe, Bahama Breeze, Bite, Miller’s Ale House, Sage Woodfire Tavern and DaVinci’s Donuts.

“ShamRockin’ for A Cure is largely successful because of our partnership with the city of Alpharetta," Co-Chair of ShamRockin for a Cure Lara Dolan said in a news release. “Not only has the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau been a long-time advertising sponsor and supporter, but local business have been quick to respond with sponsorships, services, volunteers and ticket sales. We could not have experienced the exceptional growth and success without the support of this incredibly giving community.”

Party safely with the Hilton Garden Inn hotel package. The package is just $64 and includes a hotel room at the Hilton, free shuttle service to and from the event with breakfast included.
