Rain Dampens Milton's Music in the Park

First in the summer concert series at Birmingham Park

The City of Milton sponsored the first in a series of free Concerts in the Park on Friday, but rain forced the end of the concert before it had really begun.

The concerts will be held rain or shine.

The concert, which was held at Birmingham Park, was billed as "Boogie Down at Birmingham"  and featured Lisa Port with Four Stroke Bus and friends playing their blend of music ranging from blues to bluegrass to rock and roll.

Two additional Concerts in the Park are scheduled for this summer.

On July 1, Sarah Peacock, an Atlanta native, will kick-off the July 4th weekend with a concert featuring classic rock, country, and pop.  In the last concert of the series on August 5, Milton's own Mandy Gawley will perform songs from her album, "Life So Sweet".
